Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) is a Non-Destructive Testing method used to detect surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.

During the inspection process, the component is magnetized. Discontinuities that interrupt the magnetic field can create localized magnetic flux leakage. Magnetic particles applied to the inspection area can accumulate around these indications, making them visible for evaluation.
