Eddy Current Testing (ET)

Eddy Current Testing Services

Eddy Current Testing (ET) is an electromagnetic Non-Destructive Testing method widely used for detecting surface and near-surface discontinuities in electrically conductive materials.

SAFE SKY AVIATION provides Eddy Current Testing solutions for aviation and engineering applications where high sensitivity and accurate detection of small discontinuities are required.

The method operates by inducing an alternating electromagnetic field into a conductive test component. Discontinuities or changes in material properties can alter the resulting electromagnetic response, allowing indications to be detected and evaluated.

Our ET Capabilities

Eddy Current Testing can be particularly effective for detecting:

  • Surface cracks
  • Near-surface discontinuities
  • Fatigue cracks
  • Material variations
  • Corrosion-related indications
  • Fastener-hole cracks
  • Structural discontinuities

Specialized Inspection

One of the major advantages of Eddy Current Testing is its ability to inspect certain areas that may be difficult to access using conventional inspection techniques.

Probe configuration, frequency selection, scanning technique, and equipment settings can be selected according to the component and inspection application.

Our capabilities can include the use of specialized probes and application-specific solutions for challenging inspection geometries.

Aviation Applications

Eddy Current Testing is widely associated with the inspection of aircraft structures and components, particularly metallic areas where surface and near-surface crack detection is important.

SAFE SKY AVIATION combines practical NDT experience with specialized probe technology to support reliable inspection applications.
